Up the dead server merging.

  • They bleed each server until it becomes finically a waste of time for them .when there algorithm says "hoohoo" this servers not profitable they merge it. But it can take a long time a ridiculously long time. They wont do anything about it but if you dont bring it up there is no chance of them changing it at some point

    fair… they just want money

  • It is a numbers game. When servers merge, duplicate accounts are not allowed. Currently, there are a large number of regular players that play on multiple servers. If these servers merge, these players would have to decide which account they want to keep active. It takes administrative time to do the juggling. So to ensure a new merged server will have enough non-duplicate accounts, they need to have a large pool of mergeable servers to juggle around. Three years worth of servers, abut 36 servers, probably gives them enough of a mix-and-match selection to get the right balance.

As well, if they merged servers too soon, established players would be very upset that they have to make a choice between two or more of their very active accounts (on two or more to-be-merged servers), accounts they put a lot of money into, only to be abandoned in a server merger. If they merged servers after just one year, the merged servers would be complete disasters. Too many multiple account holders would have to abandon really good accounts.

Two years seems to be the average life of a server.

Having been through a merger, I now realize there is a surge in turquoise purchases from major players on these servers because so many players take out attack protection and 100% troop recovery options to survive the initial feeding frenzy on a newly merged server. It is very difficult to survive and prosper on a merged server without spending real money. There are also a lot of very big players permanently in vacation mode on merged servers, because they had to select only one of their accounts from merged servers to keep active. They spent a lot of money developing the account previously thus they do not just want to delete it, so they put it in vacation mode as a spare account.

They are now merging merged servers and multiply merged servers, into super servers where the players have over a million Jags and/or Atlants. The only action on these servers is in the first few months, where al the 'weak' players get picked off.

Be careful of what you wish for, the chances are great that on a merged server, you would only be fresh food for the really big players in an initial feeding frenzy. So the administrators need to make sure that a to-be-merged server has enough really big players that have used the last few months doing nothing but building troops, building levels, and building new cities in order to have enough players that have any chance of surviving the merge. Super merged servers have players with 15 well developed (levels of 45 or higher) cities. Having at least 13 cities is the norm. On a merged server, very few players from newer servers survive.

  • this is true but what if you are one of the big players already?

  • It depends on what tribe you are in.

I have a hypothesis that the administrators have targeted at least one tribe franchise that, in deciding what servers to merge, will only merge this tribe with another server that already has this tribe in it. They are herding this tribe into only one super merge server, so that other servers will not have this tribe in it. Servers that do not have this tribe in it will be merged among themselves, and allowed to grow strong without this tribe being an issue. Otherwise, tentlan would be completely dominated by this tribe, and inevitably the fate of every other player would be to eventually die by this tribe.

  • The team remains the same team after the merger. Right after the merger opens, they all form a new tribe with the same franchise name and all members join from all the merged servers. They put the spare accounts into vacation mode. To make sure they go through the merge, they all arrange different email addresses just before the merge. They have this merge thing down pat. I am sure the very first account on the very first Tentlan server is still active, through multiple merges.

  • You still do not understand the concept. As soon as the server is formed, the tribe franchise starts the tribe franchise on that server, forms the tribe using the tribe franchise name, and they all join immediately. The tribe franchise continues with all of the former accounts now on that server under the tribe franchise name. It does not matter that the tribe is disbanded, it starts back up (is formed) immediately on the hew merged server.

  • All tribes are disbanded when a merge happens, if 2 server you play on merge then you pick one of the accounts to continue with and let the other one grey out or delete it. I no how it works mostly. I just wanted to see if they could speed it up a little lol . Guess not still !! .Have a good game this forum is useless for me to bother with.

Yes, I can see how this forum could be useless to you.

  • Here is A problem....

Our Founder is MIA for 1 whole year!!

    How To BOOT them...???

you'd think an inactive account would go dormant (eventually)

    PLEASE ADMIN

    HELP!!!

do we have to all leave the tribe to get a new leader in place?????

    HELL OH

  • yes you do, start a new tribe, and if the leader would quit again, that person should have the common sense to warn all in tribe and give the reigns to somebody else, if (s)he would've left the first admin would get the title

  • Starting a new tribe is the easiest and least time consuming. There is a formal procedure for having a tribe leader removed from the tribe, but it is very cumbersome and requires the intervention of every other tribe member in a 'democratic' election. And it takes time.

it's a game, not real life....
