The easiest way to solve the mia tribe leader is to pm all the active members telling them a new tribe will be formed and to come to that tribe if they want to stay with the group. It don't matter who makes the tribe that can be changed easily when members have relocated to new tribe . As far as inactive members go, if they don't let you no of there absence I would kick after they grey out around 7 days or so. Its simple.
Right. The one who founds the tribe is the leader. So pick anyone. You know, the next person to go inactive and still leave the tribe leaderless.
The only way to change the founder is for the founder to leave the tribe. Unless the tribe wants to go through the official change founder' process through admin, in which case they might just as well have done it in the first place, without forming a new tribe. Only the founder or, if allowed, an administrator can kick a member out of the tribe, and if the founder and administrators are mia, no one active or inactive gets kicked out. And really, why do it through pm, use tribe chat. If they do not follow tribe chat, chances are they will not patch over anyway. But hey, if you do not care about tribe points or tribe ranking, why be in a tribe in the first place?
From the forums
hello sodalil , to change the founder , you have to set administrator for him/her only , if you have more administrators , cancel them , otherwise someone else could be automatically set as founder , so , you set one administrator in your tribe ..after.. you leave the tribe , so the person you choose to be founder will take your place
From the FAQ - t post
- What happens if a founder of a tribe leaves the tribe? Would the tribe get disbanded?
If the founder of a tribe pro-actively leaves their tribe (i.e. using the option "leave the tribe" in the Tribe Settings), the tribe will not get disbanded, but the founder rights will automatically go over to the "oldest" tribe administrator, i.e. to that tribe administrator who was the first to get admin rights (if there are more than one tribe admin).
If there is no tribe administrator, then the founder rights will automatically be assumed by the oldest tribe member, i.e. by the tribe member who was the first to join the tribe after the founder.
- Our founder already left the game, how can we name a new founder?
If the founder already left the game, but in your tribes he/she still holds the founder position, the following applies:
The tribe is to hold elections and according to the majority vote of 51%, a new founder will be elected. Before calling the elections, the tribe administrator must contact the support team and communicate about the upcoming elections, as well as clarify the voting deadline. Then all active tribe members are invited to send emails (in-game private messages to a member of the support team or to support@tentlan.com) naming the person they vote for. After counting the voices, the support team will replace the founder.
This policy has been adopted to prevent from possible problems that may arise as a result of several players contacting the support team and asking to appoint them as a new founder, as well as to avoid any grounds for discontent or annoyance by the majority of the tribe members.
If you don't wish to make use of this procedure, then there is an option of disbanding the tribe and creating a new one.
