The pre-Columbian "Americas" did not include horses. The horse is a non-indigionous animal brought by the European invaders. Whenever I see the icons for lancers and bowmen I can't help but roll my eyes. Not a huge deal, but just saying.

I'm not sure on the historical state of this Game, but yes - you are right.
The Spanish Conquistador's brought Horses to the Southern Americas, so if this game takes place after the Spanish invasion, then it would make sense.
If it took place before, it would not make sense.Edit: It is, also just a game.

We'd like to think Tentlan takes place in an alternative future where the Spanish attempted to invade, but pre-columbian american cultures persisted and flourished. But yes, it's not the first time (nor the last) we hear this complain
Generally speaking we did go for historical accuracy to an extent, while also doing some minor compromises in historical accuracy in favour of more variety in-game, e.g. the fact that certain Aztec aspects are mixed with Mayan ones as well.

That's actually really cool, an idea I didn't think of.
I think I may add the whole Horses question to a FAQ when I perform the overhaul on my Guides, along with other FAQs.Also, M0H0 - I noticed that you guys do have the 'Jaguar Warrior' - which was a Militant special to the Aztec civilization, but I was curious as to what you thought about the Plumed Archers - who were Militant's special to the Mayan's

Correct me if I'm wrong but Plumed Archers only existed in the context of Age of Empires, didn't they?

They did exist in Age of Empires II (one of my favourite games) - and it's never been historically confirmed if they actually existed or not, it was really more of a mere myth. haha
