• Is it possible for the game time in terms of the serveer time to be listed 'in-game please? To be shown in City view and world view.

This is so one can track when an attack might land and will help players to work out if there is a window of opportunity however small to escape an attack at the last minute

  • It could be possible but most of the time the time is shown relative to the current time, in particular attacks timing in the activity windows always appear as "how much left" rather than "when". Can you explain a bit further how would the server time help time attacks? Wouldn't you need the absolute time in the activity window too for that? Otherwise you still need to calculate on your own when a troop arrives. Or do you mean to show the server time for e.g. every attack?

well what I thought was if the server time was showing in a window in City view and World View we could work out when the attack would land local time just by googling what the server time corresponded to one's local time.

Also this can be used if ever there was an attack glitch to report to the DEVS.
What I have seen happen is that a good player might send his troops from another City to land at a City under attack and the attacker might get caught at the last second and if there was a discrepancy between that attacker's local time and the server time he/she might not be able to recall an attack at the last second. I realise this is a rrre event.

Once and if group attacks are enabled and IF a player can add troops to an existing attack - basically a joint attack but the same player adding a second wave to an existing attack then he/she could send a slow moving warrior or a pochteca to in effect slow down an attack and see the defender's returning fleet return at the last second or so and have time to recall is/her attack. This assumes that one can add troops to an attack and can slow down the attack. I am not sure this is catered for in the game at all or will be once group attacks are enabled.

  • Ah, now I understand what you mean. From my knowledge desynchronization issues should be very rare, because Tentlan resynchronizes it's internal clock very frequently with the server, at worst there may be a 500 milliseconds difference but usually if it says 3 seconds left it really is 3 seconds left. So I'm not sure if a server time that showed >1s difference between local time in terms of seconds would be very useful, but I understand the need for precision. We'll think about that.

Regarding group attacks, we know, that point was brought up before. I can't say how exactly will that work because as I mentioned in the other thread the final design is still in the works, but we are going to keep in mind issues like that.
