Raiding barbarians

  • When we have 1 city we get 5 "free" barbarian camp raids per day.

When we have more cities, it seems that they should each be able to raid barbarians too.

Even if 5 raids per city is too much, 5 raids from capital and an additional 3 raids per extra city seems fair.

  • Since you are allowed a maximum of 5 raids per city, (per day I'm assuming), is this as many times as you can get Amber Stones as well?
    Purely for research purposes.

  • I understand that more raids per day are always handy, but consider that as you level up you are also able to take on barbarian villages of a higher level which have a greater bounty. Targeting stronger barbarian villages as you progress is the prefered way to make the most of the allotted raids per day.

Technically yes. There's a certain probability of finding an Amber stone for each succesful barbarian village raid, which is 100% for the first raid of the day, and between 0-1% for the rest. This means the first amber stone per day is guaranteed, and afterwards it becomes very hard but technically possible to find more. It's usually very rare to find more than 2-3 amber stones per day even if you are very lucky in practice.

    Thank you for the response.

I waited a little before replying to this. While there is no decent PvP battle system (we can steal 40% max of a players res but can't damage or capture cities and players only have res spare if they log in, collect it but don't use it), PvE is all we have.

Unless you correct me, each level of barbarian city requires approximately 5 times the attack strength of the previous level, to sensibly attack. After 3 weeks + of the current server, most active players are now able to hit L3 barbs and a limited few are able to hit L4's.

Edit 5 x the attack force needed for approx 150% reward, compared to previous barbarian level.

That means that 5 attacks on barbs per day (plus maybe 2 or at most 3 more using turquoise) are the only thing separating the game from tractor games.

  • From our experience PvP does play a role in the latter stages of the server, so I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly (for instance, you will need to save for a few days if you want to recruit an EkChuah), but it is true that barbarian villages are important. Other than that your assumptions seem to be correct.

  • Interesting. What is the significance of an ElChuah? It is an unknown to me?

Sorry, should have perhaps elaborated on that, Ek Chuah is the last and most powerful unit you can recruit at the moment, you can find him in the last row of the Jaguar Temple unit list. Eventually if you do well you'll want them to join your troops ;)
